A good story, well-written and an easy read!
I picked up this book on a recommendation from a friend. The story is compelling, and I’m enjoying it very much! The main characters embark upon a relationship that has ups and downs, bringing both exhilarating joy and emotional pain. For me, the story is real, as there are parts that mirror my own experiences. I love the way the author set up the characters in the beginning. Getting to know them as I read the details of their journey was easy. I liked that the author reserved a page before the story, that lists the characters. It served as a quick reminder of who the characters were for those times that I would come back to the book after taking a break. All in all, this is a good story, well-constructed and well-written. It definitely captured my attention. I highly recommend it, and I’m looking forward to more offerings from C. C. Lane!
Modern complexity of love
This book shows the complexity of relationships. It shows both the selfish and unselfish parts of love. The author takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It’s a page turner.
Reminiscent of Lady Chatterley’s Lover and Wuthering Heights – – time with love stories
While reading Kevin and Catherine, I was struck by the storyline of this previously forbidden Love encompassing interracial relationships. The authors intuitive writing style brings both characters to life while they face both expected and unexpected challenges. The overall feel of this novel puts me in mind of Lady Chatterley’s lover by DH Lawrence and Wuthering heights by Emily Bronte. Star-crossed lovers running pill Mill to their awaiting Fates. This author, in my opinion, has the it Factor and the IT factor is the ability to create characters that exude complex emotions.
Best love story read in years. Dramatic, sexy, and tragic. Fiction novel seemingly real for today.
I had an opportunity to read the finished manuscript. This book is passionate, tragic, loving, and of course sexy. It made me cry with emotion. The author, CC Lane, has her pulse on writing an absolute page turner. I couldn’t put it down.
Fast easy fun read with an ending you didn’t see coming
I bought the book to read on a plane trip, but started it so I’d know if I liked it before I took off with it, well I finished it before the trip started. Fun easy read with lots of sexual details, nothing kinkey, mostly romantic and sweet. Hope CC writes another soon.

What a phenomenal timeless, sensual, steamy, sad and even funny at times book. CC Lane authored an easy read book that allows reader to go on a real life journey with characters that included many life challenges and rewards 💕detail story line leave you obsessed with finishing the book. A raw Past , Present and Future love story.

Touching story
First time author CC Lane did a superb job of telling the story of two people who felt they just could not be together. It is a touching story that many people can relate to, not just race differences but so many other differences and circumstances that keep lovers apart. Kudos to CC Lane.

I have read a many romantic and erotic romance in my lifetime….and this is by far one of THE Best! Every woman dreams of a man that sees their beauty all around, not just external. And every man craves the woman that will put him first. Without giving the storyline away, I will just say there has got to be a sequel.
Beautiful writing
I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down until the end. Thank you CC Lane, for showing us was true love is! The end was surprising, the poem had me in tears!
